Kenya’s ecommerce giant Jumia will spoil shoppers on Friday 23, November 2018 as part of the Black Friday sales festival with crazy discounts on groceries such as a packet of Unga retailing at Sh20 and a packet of sugar at Sh50.
In other words, shoppers will save Sh66 on a packet Unga and Sh165 on sugar on the sales festival dubbed the Ultimate Black Friday. For rice dishes lovers, the price of 2kg Basmati will be slashed by 80 per cent to Sh99 from Sh500 shelf price.
Sweetening the deal further, the ecommerce firm has said it will deliver Unga orders free of charge shoppers in Nairobi who catch the deals.
The catch in the deals is that shoppers must have installed the Jumia app where all the Ultimate Black Friday deals will be announced at 9.00 am. Shoppers will also need to make their orders early because the stocks on offer will be limited. You can download the Jumia app here.
Jumia Managing Director, Sam Chappatte, says the firm will have thousands of deals on Friday while the flash sale will be biggest that has been witnessed since Black Friday sale festival was introduced in Kenya.
A list of items that will available for the Ultimate Flash sale, which we have seen, shows that shoppers looking for 55” smart TVs will save Sh24,000 if they order Mookah brand in good time. The shelve price of Mooka 55” Smart TV is Sh44,100.
Oppo F9 buyers will save Sh25,000 as the phone will retail for Sh9,999 down from Sh35,000. A pack of six Tuskers will sell for Sh199 from Sh1150 while L’Oreal beauty care product will retail for half prices.
But the biggest discounts will go to shoppers who will be ready to spend some time in the Ultimate Treasure Hunt hunting for iPhone X and Samsung Note 9 which the firm will be selling for Sh5.
