An explosion on a rush-hour London tube train is being treated as terrorism by the city’s police department, UK newspaper The Independent has reported .
A number of commuters were injured after an explosion and stampede at Parsons Green station in west London, at about 8.20am.
The Metropolitan Police said: “It is too early to confirm the cause of the fire, which will be subject to the investigation that is now underway by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
“At present we are aware of a number of people who have suffered injuries.
“The station remains cordoned off and we are advising people to avoid the area.”
