Subscribers enrolled on Pay Television platform StarTimes Basic package are set to enjoy an enriched content offer after the company introduced five additional channels thereby availing more Nollywood movies, novelas, sports and general entertainment content upon full month or more subscription renewal.

Basic bouquet is the pay platform’s mid-tier bouquet with access to over 50 local and international channels which has now been enriched with additional ST Nollywood plus, TLN, ST Sports Premium, ESPN 2 and E! Channels which were previously reserved for higher bouquets where subscribers enrolled to the package will access the enriched content offer till October 14th at no extra cost.

StarTimes Regional Marketing Director Aldrine Nsubuga noted the pay television platform is progressively exploring new ways to extend more value for less even as the company sustains efforts to secure increasingly relevant content for the whole family television viewing experience.

“We are making efforts to ensure whichever bouquet of choice a subscriber is enrolled to, they have additional value in form of some of the most popular content genres for the whole family as we seek to meet their needs based on feedback derived from our efforts to understand subscriber television viewing behavior and taste thereby delivering such efforts aimed at entertaining and informing the whole family,” noted Nsubuga.

With the additional channels, Basic bouquet subscribers are set to enjoy one of Europe’s most popular soccer leagues – the Spanish La Liga which is expected to kick off on 13th August on ST Sports Premium as well as motor-racing, rugby, basketball and action sports such as live boxing and a range of magazine shows on ESPN 2.

Additionally, there will be a bumper of African movies as ST Nollywood delivers blockbuster English-language African movies, series as well as urban African music and entertainment shows. Novela fans will also be delighted to watch TLN which will broadcast highly-rated Mexican novelas of all time among other entertainment news, celebrity news and gossip as well as the hottest fashion trends on E!

“Our subscribers can look forward to the enriched television viewing experience that suits the whole family at the most competitive subscription rates in the market even as we progressively explore more ways to ensure we deliver premium local and international content of choice,” concluded Nsubuga.
