Sacco members to acquire StarTimes Digital TVs on instalments

Pay Television Company StarTimes Media has established strategic partnerships with various saccos across the country in an effort to offer their members an opportunity to acquire the company’s digital television sets in flexible installments.

In the partnership, StarTimes will avail 24, 32, 43, 50 and 55 inch digital television sets at between 8 and 10% discount from the normal retail price to all members who’s saccos have entered into a memorandum of understanding with StarTimes.

Speaking on the latest development, StarTimes Vice President Mr. Hanson Wang noted the broadcaster was keen to ease the process of acquiring digital television devices for thousands of sacco members as through them, they will be in a position to not only enjoy discounted prices but also flexible payment options.

“This is a very strategic partnership that we have set up with different saccos across the country key in driving access to our latest digital television devices. Members from participating saccos will be enjoying discounted prices for the different television models while paying for the same in flexible installments,” noted Mr. Hanson.

One of the key features that stand out for the StarTimes Digital TV is the ability to receive both satellite and terrestrial television signals using an inbuilt set top box thereby enabling the devices to decode digital signals without the need of an external set top box while utilizing a single remote control to manage both the content and the television set.

StarTimes Digital TV is also designed to save up to 50% power, allowing subscribers to enjoy better viewing experience with less living costs. It also comes with full High Definition LED screen, Dolby audio system, wide voltage input, HDMI and USB ports that extend an array of options to the user.

Among the saccos which have already signed up for the partnership include: Chai Sacco, BM Sacco, Nyati Sacco, Shoppers Sacco, Abiria Sacco, Mombasa Port Sacco, Lavington United Sacco and Stima Sacco.

StarTimes is progressively looking out to grow similar strategic partnerships with more saccos across the country to enable members enjoy discounts and flexible payment plans. Officials from other interested saccos are encouraged to explore the partnership for mutually beneficial cooperation.

StarTimes digital television sets are all-in-one television products assuring users of digital television reception and premium content in a single offering with the ability to deliver more than 200 pay television as well as free to air channels.
