The Registrar of Political Parties has approved the decision of the Communist Party of Kenya to expel former Organising Secretary Mr. Booker Ngesa Omole from the party.
In a letter addressed to the party’s Secretary General, Benedict Wachira, the registrar noted that the party expulsion had followed the law as laid down in the party’s constitution.
“Upon review and evaluation of all submitted documents in line with the Political Parties Act 2011 (PPA) and the party constitution, this office is satisfied that the party adhered to the due process,” said the registrar in the letter.
The registrar stated that the office has already struck off the former organizing secretary’s name from its register of the party members.
“Consequently, pursuant to section 34 (da) of the PPA, this office has updated its records and register of party members,” said the registrar.
The party’s Central Committee passed a resolution to expel Mr. Omole on 19th April 2023 citing failure to honour summons to disciplinary hearings.
