Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) has partnered with Pathways Technologies Ltd, a leading data, technology, and innovation company to train and equip the youth with cutting-edge skills in Data Analytics, AI, Machine Learning, and Data science.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Pathway Technologies and KoTDA will undertake the training under the Jitume Program Initiative which is a Government initiative aimed at providing access to digital skills, e-services, and online opportunities to the youth across the country.
The two institutions will collaborate to provide high-tech training programs in a move to bridge the skills gap and foster economic sustainability and growth.
“We are pleased to sign this MoU today. Pathways brings extensive expertise in cutting-edge technologies and innovative teaching methodologies, which will be combined with Konza Technopolis’ vision of fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and technology,” Pathways Technologies CEO Joel Onditi said during the MOU signing.
Onditi added that the training programs will provide hands-on experience, practical knowledge, industry-relevant skills, and employment opportunities to empower youths and students to become key contributors to the digital revolution.
On his part, KoTDA acting CEO John Paul Okwiri, committed to supporting the partnership in order to meet the growing demand for tech skills in the country in line with the ambition to position Kenya as a technology Talent Hub.
“The MOU with Pathway Technologies has come on time. As Konza Technopolis, we shall provide all the necessary support to ensure that this project is successful in our endeavor to provide one million digital skills to our youth across the country,” said Okwiri.
