Kenya Power has advised customers to buy electricity tokens early to avoid inconvenience during its scheduled upgrade of the prepaid token system on 2nd June.
In a statement, the firm said the upgrade is planned to start on 10:00 PM, Sunday, 2nd June 2024 to 10:00 PM, Monday 3rd June 2024.
“During this period, customers will not be able to buy electricity from all the vending points including Kenya Power offices, M-PESA Paybill number 888880, Airtel Money and banking channels,” said the firm in the statement adding that the upgrade systems will improve service delivery.
